Season 4: CHILDREN WITH BLACK EYES was an attempt to explore how much further the style established in THE CHILDREN UNDER THE HOUSE could be pushed. The film uses children’s drawings within a true crime framework, blending minimalist imagery with investigative storytelling. While the story works as a standalone piece, it also became one of the first series to fully embrace the layered storytelling structure the channel would later become known for. Beyond its self-contained narrative, it quietly expands the larger mythology of the Vintage Eight universe.

The season continues with SINKHOLE, which became one of the most popular stories on the Vintage Eight Discord. The series reintroduces characters and ideas established in Season 1, expanding them into a new threat: a massive sinkhole consuming the surrounding area and the emergence of a new villain known as Prophet. Prophet is an artificial intelligence infected by the Eye, a recurring entity throughout the Vintage Eight universe. The Eye is a godlike parasitic force worshipped by certain groups, often with catastrophic consequences.

Next comes THE MAZE, a mysterious tape that reveals how worshippers of the Eye travel between realities. This concept would later become central to multiple series, including EIGHT STEPS TO THE EYE, WE ARE THE COLD, and THE DISAPPEARANCE.

Season 4 concludes with the return of the entity known as NOBODY.
